The Artists' Life

The artists' life hasn't changed much since paleolithic times — he still has naked women applauding him and clients telling him how great his art is, but he needs to "make it smaller and change the color, oh and actually could you make it face the other direction?" *

Paul Jamin — A Painter in the Stone Age — 1903

* actually, that's why I like digital art — all those things can be changed in seconds. And naked women still applaud.

You're so right Thomas. Gustav Klimt and Auguste Rodin established a model that we all live by now. You forgot to mention how over paid we all are and the long vacations we take. :)

Yeah, I have all of that.

Except for the naked women. And the applause.

haha what you said reminds me of a convo i had with a guy at a show once...he was looking at my stuff and started extolling the virtues of working smaller, forcing peope to get closer and look deeper into my pictures, etc, etc and after he was done with his very long winded soliloquy i just shrugged my shoulders and said "but, i like to work large"

yay for applauding naked women!!!

I can't be bothered commenting today. Fridays are when me and the naked applauding women go to breakfast!

Only the naked women were (thankfully) clothed fat guys...
