Near-Mint

Back in early March, I posted some images from my copy of Kabumpo in Oz, with a cover that looked like it fell off the truck, skidded across the street and into the storm drain.

Here we have a near-mint version of that cover, courtesy of OtherEric, friend of these blogs, and all-together great guy.
Thanks Eric!

Unca Jeff, a lot of these books are surprisingly good reads, especially if you slip into a young and innocent persona (not to say you aren't already, hmm?).

I still envy you your copy, Thom. You have the color plates and mine doesn't. Still, between the two of us we can show the material off to others pretty darn well!

Start with the books by Baum, Jeff. The Thompsons are a lot of fun in their own way but a bit more of an acquired taste. The first 16 are all public domain, so you can find them cheaply enough; but I strongly suggest tracking down illustrated editions if you can.
